Another Saturday, another chess tournament! Heidi tied for the first place trophy in her age group and Greta and John each won a medal. They all had a great tournament and gained lots of rating points.
So, I decided to pick a Chesterton quote on Chess for Weekends with Chesterton.

Chess playing has many advantages for kids...it teaches logic and advance planning and all sorts of useful skills; Here's hoping that all the stories they write and art they draw and imaginative games they play will prevent anyone from going mad. <wink>
